Five decisions before building your website
Define your goal, audience and content before choosing the design.
Choose an image and language, review OCR output and understand its limits.
Use a straight image with even lighting and readable letters. Crop unnecessary margins and avoid glare. Keep the original until you have checked the extracted text.
Check names, numbers, dates and punctuation. Columns may become mixed and diacritics may need correction. OCR does not recreate the page layout, and handwriting recognition is not guaranteed. Check sensitive amounts and account numbers manually.
Images are processed in your browser without uploading their contents. Engine assets must download first; closing the page stops processing. Use PDF OCR for scanned PDFs, the document extractor for multiple images or Word and Excel output, and text to file to save existing text.
If output is incomplete, check the language and use a clearer image or smaller batch. Unreadable source text cannot be reliably recovered simply by changing tools.
